![]() ![]() The information that is introduced is minimal and the world building limited.īut again, it’s a book you’ll read quickly and really enjoy yourself while doing so. I would say that there is more atmosphere and emotion than actual content, though. ![]() The author doesn’t slow the action down with lots of description and she doesn’t overextend the emotional scenes. ![]() But if you’re looking for an almost tangible atmosphere of urgency, secrecy and danger, I recommend it quite automatically. I’m not going to lie, some are in fact stereotype characters, so if you’re looking for uniqueness, you might not find it here. What I like with this series is that there isn’t a HUGE set of characters, but the ones that are indeed present have a distinct personality, way of moving in the world as well as role in the story. What makes it better than the first book? Well now we’re acquainted with the characters, so we know what to expect from them (or so we think…). (Though I did start reading it late, oops.) I remember going to bed at 3 am last night because I simply needed to read the first ten chapters at least. On the contrary, I found it pretty unstoppable. Not because I didn’t enjoy it and wanted to get done with it. ![]() Genres & Themes: Young Adult, Sci-fi, Action, Mystery, Romance Copyright 2013 by Jennifer Rush Excerpt from Erased copyright 2013 by Jennifer Rush Cover image 2013 by Howard Huang Cover design by Neil Swaab Cover. ![]()
